Clothing Protectors (bibs)

They look like shirts, but they aren't, they are worn over shirts, to protect clothes from anything that might drip. They are 'Bob's Bibs'. They pull on over the head, have no back, but when looking at someone they aren't an embarrassing bib look at all!

Once this stage is completed, you can add plastic wrap to the back or front (that wrap that sticks to the bowl will stick to the fabric) for extra protection. To see how I made this, pop over to  my How-To pages.

Man-tailored shirt made for a woman

I haven't put the buttons on, or ironed this yet, but finished the sewing on it today. I am still considering button color, gold or clear.
Luckily, there's lots of time before we get to long sleeve weather... The chambray blue and tiny gold doves makes a nice fabric for this.

Unfortunately, I though the shoulders are right didn't measure everywhere before I made it, so it doesn't fit me. I will give it to someone who I hope will love it as much as I would have, should it have buttoned up...

Boys Holiday Fleece

My boy's holiday fleece, each going with a hanging panel for the home, of the truck and tree in a winter scene. The first was to have a big contrasting pocket, and go over the head, but a mistake took that pocket to be the yoke back of the bigger shirt. The scraps left are so small they will only work as stuffing for pillows of the future. Things never go as expected. Of course, it wouldn't have needed the pocket if I had cut the front on the fold... Ah well, there great for play time jacket/sweatshirts.

Team Tops

I found a piece of fabric, just about a yard, and was able to construct these team tops, sizes 2T and 6, for a birthday that's coming up soon. Her sister's can be put away for another occasion, just perfect for a reward for an accomplishment.
Size 2T, image is centered on the back, too.

From a tee pattern, lengthened the sleeves, added a pieced scarf

Other Projects That are 'In hand'

Just because I'm not posting here, doesn't mean I'm not sewing. I have multiple Christmas presents going, and hope to have them all finished, in time! These are just two sets of the multiple projects I have set myself to finish!

The custom tailored shirts are going to be a long and difficult path to trod. The pin striped fabric from JoAnn's is set horizontally rather than vertically from the bolt, turning and refolding the correct direction leaves me with less than I need to finish these shirts...

There will be five of this project, in multiple sizes, when I am done!

I have three of these custom tailored shirts to finish, too.
