Needing a Pair of Shorts or Two

Several Pair of New Shorts Awaiting Elastic

I haven't posted in a while, though I haven't been exactly busy, I have completed a project or two for a friend with a handicapped grandchild, read all the Arthur Conan Doyle books and stories, most of the Wilkie Collins Books, among others and started on some household projects that need to be completed. There's lots more to do!

It's one pattern, I scalloped the edge for some, added piping and lace to others, they all look different and are very comfy.

A Plain White Pair of Sneakers

Saw a video on dressing up white deck shoes, so I thought I would try it.
Couldn't find deck shoes, so I'm making some changes. I've cut out and glued on the fabric, waiting for the glue to dry. When it's dry I will trim, tack the fabric down, and eh voila, a new pair of shoes, like no one else's!

Did you ever think about the name/word 'sneakers', and why these type of shoes are called sneakers?

Still More Holiday Gifts

Sometimes feels like the work is never ending, there's still more on my table, including the three custom tailored shirts that I cut out in October, where the fabric was bolted horizontally, rather than vertically, so the yardage amounts were wrong for the custom pattern...

Boys Holiday Fleece

My boy's holiday fleece, each going with a hanging panel for the home, of the truck and tree in a winter scene. The first was to have a big contrasting pocket, and go over the head, but a mistake took that pocket to be the yoke back of the bigger shirt. The scraps left are so small they will only work as stuffing for pillows of the future. Things never go as expected. Of course, it wouldn't have needed the pocket if I had cut the front on the fold... Ah well, there great for play time jacket/sweatshirts.
