Seasonal Dresses!

A friend needed a new dress or two, and sent a photo.

I decided to put a seasonal spin on the photo, to see if they would work for her. I made the first one (using a separate tee pattern and skirt pattern, couldn't find one with both together) and found that the Tee was too long, so I had to pull it apart and fix it. In the winter seasonal dress (green top) the 2nd and 3rd tier of the skirt are the suggested sizes, cut out just as the pattern shows, but they are the 2nd and 3rd tier, it was too long to include the first tier. in the fall seasonal, (gold top) I changed the pattern lengths to get all three tiers in.

Once completed, I realized a belt was important to make it look finished, so I made one, that was reversible, to give a little different look. I think they turned out very well (photos taken prior to hand sewing down the neck facing, sorry.)

First Attempt, tee too long
Ripped it apart, tee better length
Needed it in more colors
It needs a reversible belt!
The other side of the belt
Seasonal belt in just red
Belt with holiday appeal
